I then downloaded and learned to use QCad, which is far superior and no harder to use. Good forum support and comes with a free community version and a pay for professional version. I use the free community version and have never found need for more options. Jim. I started out with LibreCad a few years ago and it did provide a good start into CAD drawing for me. Jim, I believe LibreCAD was greatly revised in the last year or two. It may now work fine for you, although I agree it wouldn't be worth changing if you're happy with QCAD. I haven't had any problems with dimensioning that I've noticed (big caveat, there! ), and I've been able to either find or figure out solutions to every question I've had (having used over 5 different CAD programs and having been a programmer since 1980 definitely helps my computer problem-solving skills).
